Recently I have switched to Genesis framework and when customizing the child theme I noticed that some Genesis Child themes don’t have header settings section. We all know that adding custom logo makes a bong or website more attractive and brandable. Usually most of the Genesis child theme comes with easier header configuration settings section for adding custom logo images. But in some Genesis child themes it is not present. To add custom logo in Genesis child theme we have to access the WordPress site’s files using web hosting cPanel or FTP. The Easiest Way To Install WordPress on PC

Alright, how many times did you feel that you want a copy of WordPress to run locally on PC? honestly, I’ve tried it many times and downloaded other custom WordPress stacks for my computer but, due to the messy installation of other stacks, i simply push the cancel button of the installation and my hunt for simple WordPress installation on PC keeps on going. Well just now I’ve found the easiest way to install WordPress on PC, which is as simple as 1, 2, 3 and Go!

Now, to find a good thing is worthless until and unless it wasn’t shared with our potential readers and I am pretty sure, this handy guide to install WordPress on PC will really help those brand new novice players in the blogosphere out there. So, let’s get started!

Today we are going to install WordPress on our PC using BitNami, a ready stack of WordPress for your PC and requires no extra skills to install. Though, it’s not only for WorPress, as well as it’s also available for other Content Management Systems such a Joomla, Drupal, AlfreSco and Redmine to name a few.

So, before we make this guide a bit more longer let’s get started:

Firstly, point your browser to http://bitnami.org/stack/wordpress and choose the native Free downloader for PC, which sizes around 73.1 MB for Windows and if you’re using Apple MAC or Linux OS’s then it’s also available for you as well. So just start the download.

After completing the download, simply run the installer, select the language-click the next, and again push the next button, then you’ll see a Window to select the component, now let the default  components checked and push the next button, again next.

Now you’ll see this window where you’ve to fill the login credentials so just fill out the basic details such as name, give a password twice, fill you real name, email and again hit the next button twice.

Setup will now start the installation on your PC, and you may now sit back and relax or either you can also opt for Coffee :)

Finally, once the setup completes the installation, let the “Launch BitNami WodPress Stack,” checked and as usual you’ve to hit the finish button. That’s all!

The setup will now automatically launch your browser and just hit the access BitNami WordPress stack link and whoa! my local WordPress blog is running live as you can see in the above screen-shot . However if you need to access the database of your local blog then you can access via  http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin/ plus you can also manage the local MySQL database and Apache web server using built-in manager tool, from the start menu.
